They are looking for an AI Datacenter Site Lead for a new Raleigh, NC-based Ultra-High Density Data Center (DC). If you would like to learn more about this opportunity, feel free to reach out and apply today!


Responsibilities:

  • Participate in solution development and deployment planning for AI initiatives targeted for the primary datacenter.
  • Oversight of deployment activities for the primary data center, including ensuring proper power and cooling (air or liquid) to maintain system stability and collaborating with vendors such as Dell, TierPoint, SuperMicro, and others to establish and achieve solution requirements.
  • Implement a rigorous quality assurance process across technical projects to help decrease unexpected issues post-launch and protect critical assets from damage or loss.
  • Evaluate existing systems and perform capacity planning and resource management for the DC colo.
  •  Develop strategies, standards, processes, and procedures to ensure successful project delivery while ensuring high-value systems are protected from damage or loss.
  • Drive successful outsourcing of critical project activities and manage vendor relationships across multiple departments (IT and Engineering).
  • Execute assigned projects and activities across all phases of their lifecycle, including capacity monitoring and planning (power and environmental), site monitoring and incident response, hardware receiving, rack and stack, decommissioning, break/fix ticket handling, site/server changes, change management, and providing on-site vendor assistance.
  • Responsible for working in multiple Data Centers within Raleigh/RTP. Candidate will also provide support for 2 other local DCs when not busy with primary DC activities.
  • Participate in Agile work processes and maintain deliverables within Agile management toolsets for both internal/external teams to collaborate and complete delivery.


Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, encompassing requirements management, hardware deployment, full lifecycle management, and capacity management.
  • Experience with ultra-high-density computing, including liquid cooling systems (heat exchangers and direct-to-chip), power deployment and management, and environmental management (cooling and noise).
  • High-level experience across infrastructure towers (network, storage, compute…)
  • Strong understanding of Agile Methodologies
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex technical projects in a fast-paced environment


Preferred requirements:

  • Proficiency in Agile management tools - JIRA/others
  • Foundational knowledge of Red Hat technology is a plus
  • Ongoing commitment to continuous learning in support of the role
