Responsibilities: 

• Install fibre optic cables through underground ducting, chambers, and building entry points
• Perform underground cabling according to project requirements and industry standards
• Conduct basic testing to verify signal quality and network integrity
• Adhere to health, safety, and regulatory guidelines, especially when working in confined spaces
• Maintain accurate records of completed work, testing results, and on-site challenges
• Report daily progress and issues to project managers or supervisors
• Coordinate with team members and site managers for efficient job completion

Required Skills/Qualifications:

• Experience in underground cabling installation within the fibre industry
• Familiarity with tools and equipment for underground fibre cabling, such as a Cobra
• Understanding of health and safety practices
• Detail-oriented with the ability to accurately record work and testing results
• Good teamwork and communication skills for coordinating with team members and supervisors
• Full UK driving license

Working Hours: 

• 08:00 - 16:00 
• Overtime Monday to Friday after 16:30 - £55 per sub duct pulled
• Weekend overtime opportunities  - £55 per sub duct pulled

Salary: 

• £33,600 per annum
