Hi, nice to meet you I’m Barney, a few facts about me:

• Rock and roll enthusiast.
• Frequent gig attendee.
• Whiskey drinker.
• I jumped out of an aeroplane once.

Here at Hamilton Barnes, I recruit for Alt-Nets & Carriers and help them source and secure the best talent in the market.

In the Fibre team, we work with a range of companies, ranging from pre-funding AltNets in their start-up phase right through to the largest infrastructure providers across the world. We work with Fibre Installation Engineers up to Head Of's coming from the top internet service providers and telecommunications companies from all over the country.

 A couple of our success stories to date -

• Placed 210 Network Engineers and 120 Fibre Engineers with the UK’s largest Telco. In the space of 3 years, we became the #1 supplier in the Fibre & Networking space and have filled 95% of the roles given. And 99% of the individuals we placed are still with the business.
• We worked with an AltNet operator as they went through their initial round of funding. We helped them to grow from 5 to 125 heads. Building their management team and the teams they led – Head of Installations, with a number of Supervisors and 20+ Installation Engineers; Head of Planning, including the Team Lead, 3x Fibre Planners and 3x GIS Technicians; Head of Networks, including 2x Network Engineers and 5x 1st Line Service Engineers.
• We worked with a start-up AltNet operator based in the South West who had just received a large amount of funding. We helped them grow from 4 to 80 heads within 12 months. This was across delivery, planning, GIS and admin within Fibre engineering, but also network engineering. Due to being based in the South West, we were able to proactively build talent pools within the area which we knew they tend to look for. This meant when they were ready to hire, we had candidates ready to go!
