Cabling Engineer - Telecommunications

We are currently recruiting for Cabling Engineer’s to join an established telecoms company in Birmingham.

They specialise in building design within the construction industry, focusing on niche and bespoke projects. They design, fund, build and operate digital and power infrastructure for new build and retrofit high-density venues and multi-use sites with no upfront capital required.

Responsibilities:

• Install new cable infrastructure, including fibre optic and copper cables 
• Regularly check the condition of existing cables and replace damaged or outdated ones. This involves testing connections and repairing faults
• Properly label all cables and keep detailed records of the cabling layout, types of cables used, and their connections

Skills/Must have:

• Copper and fibre cabling experience 
• Possess a good understanding different types of cabling standards 
• Proficiency in installing, terminating, and connecting various types of cable
• Skilled in reading technical drawings, blueprints, and network diagrams
• IPAF is desirable 
• CSCS or ECS is desirable

Salary:

•  Up to £240 a day
