Windows Desktop Support - Service Provider

We are currently working with a leading multinational electricity and gas utility company who are on the search for a Security cleared Desktop Support Engineer. 

Based in Wokingham, this hybrid role involves providing 2nd/3rd line technical support to our desktop estate, including Windows 7, 10, and 11. The successful candidate will design, package, and deploy operating systems, as well as manage deployments of new and updated applications and OS.

The client is happy to offer an initial 6-month contract with the view to extension for over 12 months, the role is signed off Inside IR35.

Responsibilities:

•    Provide 2nd/3rd line technical support to the desktop estate (Windows 7/10/11)

•    Design, package, and deploy operating systems

•    Manage deployments of new and updated applications and OS

•    Utilize application packaging technologies such as MSI

•    Support software deployment technologies, with SCCM experience being desirable

Skills/Must have:

•    SC Clearance is mandatory

•    Proficiency in application packaging technologies such as MSI

•    Experience with software deployment technologies, SCCM preferred

•    Strong knowledge in managing Anti-Virus and patching deployments

•    Expertise in Active Directory users, computer objects, and Group Policy Management

Salary:

•    £230 per day
