Hamilton Barnes is partnered with a leading utility organisation who are looking for a Windows Administrator, We are seeking a skilled professional to join our dynamic team in Wokingham, delivering critical IT services for a renowned utilities company in the UK.

This hybrid role requires Three days per week working in the Wokingham office, giving you flexibility while maintaining collaboration with key stakeholders. The role is signed off inside IR35, with a competitive daily rate.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide 2nd and 3rd line technical support for the desktop estate, including Windows 7/10/11, ensuring efficient resolution of technical issues.
  • Design, package, and deploy operating systems to enhance the functionality and performance of the desktop environment.
  • Manage deployments of new or updated applications and operating systems, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Utilize change, problem, incident, and release management tools in line with customer policies and best practices.
  • Support Windows desktop management, including Workstation builds, user support, and package deployment.
  • Ensure management of Anti-Virus and Patching deployments to maintain the security and stability of the infrastructure.

Skills/Must have:

  • Strong knowledge of Windows desktop support including Windows 7, 10, and 11.
  • Experience in application packaging technologies such as MSI.
  •  Familiarity with software deployment technologies, with experience in SCCM being highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in Active Directory, including user and computer object management and Group Policy Management.
  • Experience in Workstation builds, supporting critical business users, and managing package deployment.
