Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed wireless network designs based on High-Level Design (HLD) documentation.
  • Define access point (AP) placements, RF tuning, and controller configurations to ensure optimal performance.
  • Ensure designs adhere to industry best practices, security standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Lead the end-to-end deployment of wireless solutions, including Cisco Wireless APs and Meraki technologies.
  • Configure, test, and optimize wireless controllers, ensuring seamless integration with the existing network.
  • Conduct site surveys (pre and post-deployment) using tools like Ekahau or AirMagnet to validate coverage and capacity.
  • Implement wireless security measures (WPA2/3, 802.1X, Radius, NAC) to protect network integrity.
  • Perform validation testing to confirm that the deployed wireless network meets performance and security requirements.
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for any connectivity, interference, or performance issues.
  • Work closely with network, security, and infrastructure teams to resolve complex wireless-related problems.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of designs, configurations, and deployment procedures.
  • Provide technical mentorship and knowledge transfer to junior engineers and support teams.
  • Ensure all wireless solutions align with business and operational requirements.


Required Skills & Experience:

  • Extensive hands-on experience with Cisco Wireless Access Points (APs), Wireless LAN Controllers (WLCs), and Meraki solutions.
  • Strong understanding of RF design, spectrum analysis, and wireless troubleshooting.
  • Experience in enterprise wireless deployments, including high-density and mission-critical environments.
  • Proficiency in wireless security technologies (WPA2/3, 802.1X, Radius, Cisco ISE).
  • Familiarity with networking protocols, VLANs, QoS, and wireless authentication mechanisms.
  • Experience with Ekahau, AirMagnet, or other wireless site survey tools for design validation.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.


Certifications (Required/Preferred):

  • CCNP Wireless or CCIE Wireless (or equivalent experience).
