Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with design teams to create novel assembly systems and processes for the manufacturing of next-generation photonics components.
- Take ownership of optical assembly processes and equipment throughout the entire product development lifecycle.
- Develop and document equipment specifications, performance requirements, and proposals for machinery and equipment integration.
- Work closely with engineers, suppliers, and contractors to implement automation solutions tailored to the optical industry.
- Plan and conduct experimental tests in a cleanroom environment to gain practical insights into optical assembly processes and evaluate the performance of engineering equipment for potential improvements.
- Oversee the installation, site acceptance testing (SAT), and operational transfer of equipment at contract manufacturer locations.
Required skills:
- College or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant Engineering field.
- + 2 years of experience in a related field.
- Strong hands-on problem-solving ability and attention to details.
- MUST BE Bilingual - French and English
