Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage network security infrastructure using Checkpoint and/or Fortinet firewalls, ensuring robust protection for on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Configure and maintain firewall policies, VPNs, NAT, and IPS/IDS to safeguard network traffic, prevent unauthorized access, and ensure secure remote connectivity.
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents using firewall logs, SIEM tools, and threat intelligence, proactively mitigating risks and vulnerabilities.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify gaps in firewall configurations, enforce compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST), and recommend improvements.
  • Implement advanced threat prevention measures such as Fortinet's FortiGuard services or Checkpoint's Threat Prevention suite (IPS, Anti-Bot, Antivirus, SandBlast) to defend against malware, zero-day attacks, and APTs.
  • Design and configure secure VPN solutions (site-to-site, client-based) to support remote workforces and inter-site connectivity without compromising security.
  • Collaborate with network and system teams to integrate security solutions seamlessly with existing infrastructure and ensure high availability and performance.
  • Automate routine security tasks using scripts, APIs, or management platforms like FortiManager or Checkpoint SmartConsole, improving operational efficiency.
  • Ensure firewall upgrades, patches, and lifecycle management are handled timely to protect against emerging vulnerabilities and maintain vendor support.

Skills/Must have:

  • Security network architecture experience (Network security and cyber security knowledge)
  • Checkpoint or Firewall configuration experience 
  • German Speaking (C1 minimum)
  • Willingness to undergo security clearance 
  • Minimum Bachelors Degree
