Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the response to cybersecurity incidents, including identification, investigation, containment, eradication, and recovery, while minimizing the impact on business operations.
  • Maintain and update our incident response plan and playbooks, tailoring procedures to the evolving security landscape.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prepare for and respond to security incidents, ensuring efficient communication and coordination.
  • Conduct thorough analyses of security incidents and provide detailed reports on findings, outcomes, and recommendations for future prevention.
  • Coordinate with external stakeholders, such as law enforcement and other incident response organizations, when required.
  • Implement and manage security tools and technologies to detect and prevent malicious activity.
  • Develop and lead training sessions for staff to raise awareness about security best practices and the importance of incident detection and response.
  • Continuously monitor the organization's networks for security breaches, using advanced forensics tools to trace the root cause of any incidents.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of existing security measures and recommend enhancements.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Relevant professional certifications (CISSP, GCIH, CISM, etc.) are highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an incident response role or related cybersecurity position.
  • Extensive knowledge of incident response protocols, cybersecurity frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency with security information and event management (SIEM) tools, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and other security technologies.
  • Solid understanding of network protocols, encryption, authentication, and authorization methods.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent communication skills in both German and English, with the ability to explain complex technical issues to a non-technical audience.
