Our client is a leading ISP with significant investment of over £150 million are currently growing at a rapid rate due to their network expansion across Cumbria and various locations. They are seeking a skilled and dedicated Civil Inspector to join their dynamic team and ensure the highest standards in their infrastructure projects.

As a Civil Inspector, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and ensuring the quality and compliance of civil works related to our client’s fibre optic network installations. You will work closely with contractors, engineers, and project managers to inspect and monitor construction activities, ensuring they meet stringent standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough inspections of civil works, including trenching, duct installation, manhole construction, and reinstatement.
• Ensure all construction activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Review and interpret project plans, specifications, and drawings.
• Liaise with contractors and project managers to ensure timely and efficient completion of projects.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of inspections, findings, and corrective actions.
• Provide technical guidance and support to contractors and field teams.


Skills/Must have:
• Proven experience as a Civil Inspector/Civil Supervisor/Civil Manager preferably in the fibre optic or telecommunications industry.
• Strong knowledge of civil construction techniques, materials, and processes.
• Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations in the construction industry.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Valid UK driving license and willingness to travel within Cumbria as needed.
• NRSWA accreditation.

Salary:

• £50,000 per annum.
