Key Responsibilities:
- Managing the Network Operations team (three engineers + you)
- Overseeing customer and internal network operations
- Deploying and managing network solutions, including:
- FortiGate Firewalls
- Cisco Networks (routers, switches, firewalls)
- Cloud & Virtualization – VMware, Azure, AWS, GCP (solid understanding required)
- IPSec Tunnel Monitoring – ensuring secure customer connectivity
- Network Troubleshooting – diagnosing and resolving performance issues
- Leading project management by assigning tasks, tracking progress, and removing roadblocks
- Driving innovation by recommending new network technologies and expanding infrastructure
- Mentoring junior engineers and supporting their training and development
Skills & Requirements:
- Strong Networking Expertise – routers, switches, firewalls (FortiGate & Cisco)
- Solid understanding of Cloud & Virtualisation (VMware, Azure, AWS, GCP)
- Leadership Skills – ability to lead, mentor, and manage projects
- Experience supporting education sector clients (Schools, Academies, Trusts) is a plus
- Linux/Unix experience would be helpful, but not essential
- Must be within 1-hour commute of Canning Town
