Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing the Network Operations team (three engineers + you)
  • Overseeing customer and internal network operations
  • Deploying and managing network solutions, including:
    • FortiGate Firewalls
    • Cisco Networks (routers, switches, firewalls)
    • Cloud & Virtualization – VMware, Azure, AWS, GCP (solid understanding required)
    • IPSec Tunnel Monitoring – ensuring secure customer connectivity
    • Network Troubleshooting – diagnosing and resolving performance issues
  • Leading project management by assigning tasks, tracking progress, and removing roadblocks
  • Driving innovation by recommending new network technologies and expanding infrastructure
  • Mentoring junior engineers and supporting their training and development

Skills & Requirements:

  • Strong Networking Expertise – routers, switches, firewalls (FortiGate & Cisco)
  • Solid understanding of Cloud & Virtualisation (VMware, Azure, AWS, GCP)
  • Leadership Skills – ability to lead, mentor, and manage projects
  • Experience supporting education sector clients (Schools, Academies, Trusts) is a plus
  • Linux/Unix experience would be helpful, but not essential
  • Must be within 1-hour commute of Canning Town
