Responsibilities:

• Designing, configuring, and managing Palo Alto Networks firewalls and security systems to protect the organization’s network.
• Monitoring network security, identifying potential threats, and implementing measures to mitigate risks.
• Developing and maintaining security policies, rules, and configurations to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
• Conducting vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to identify and address security weaknesses.
• Collaborating with IT and operations teams to design and implement secure network architectures.
• Providing technical support and expertise on network security issues, troubleshooting complex security problems.
• Keeping up to date with the latest security trends, vulnerabilities, and threats, and recommending improvements to the security posture.

Skills/Must have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in network security engineering, with a focus on Palo Alto Networks technologies.
• Proficiency in configuring and managing Palo Alto Networks firewalls, including PAN-OS, Panorama, and GlobalProtect.
• Strong knowledge of network security principles, including firewall policies, VPNs, intrusion prevention systems, and threat management.
• Hands-on experience with security incident response and management.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex security issues.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Relevant certifications such as Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE) or similar are highly desirable.

Salary:

• $85 per hour
