A prestigious French IT consultancy is seeking a Network Security Engineer to join an extensive 7-year programme aimed at completely revamping a major client's network infrastructure. This is an initial 6-month contract with the potential for long-term extensions. 

The role requires on-site presence.


Key Responsibilities

  • Identification and Mitigation of Security Threats:
    • Identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities, proposing and implementing appropriate solutions to stay ahead of evolving security risks.
  • End-to-End Monitoring of Security Implementation:
    • Continuously monitor security features to ensure effective implementation and proactively address any potential breaches, preventing and mitigating security incidents.
  • Documentation of Security Functions:
    • Document security functions comprehensively to facilitate knowledge transfer within the team, ensuring operational teams understand and follow security protocols and procedures consistently.
  • Migration of Old Equipment and Legacy Support:
    • Migrate old equipment to new safety standards while providing support for legacy systems, ensuring the infrastructure remains secure and up-to-date during transitional phases.
  • Troubleshooting and L3+ Support:
    • Provide quick and effective troubleshooting, especially in crisis situations. Deliver high-level (L3+) support to resolve complex issues promptly, minimizing potential damages during security incidents.

Required Skills and Expertise

  • Proficiency in Palo Alto and Fortinet Nextgen Firewalls.
  • Expertise in VLAN networking, VRF, IP routing, switching, and VXLAN technologies.
  • Knowledge of dynamic routing protocols such as OSPF and Border Gateway Protocol (BGP).
  • Familiarity with switching and packet analysis techniques.
  • Required certifications in Cisco, Fortinet, or similar areas.
