We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Project Manager with a strong background in Network Engineering to join a team in San Antonio, TX. 

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with a Managed Service Provider (MSP) and possess the technical acumen to lead complex network projects from inception to completion. This role requires exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills to manage cross-functional teams and deliver projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Lead and manage multiple network engineering projects simultaneously, ensuring all project phases are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Technical Expertise: Utilize deep understanding of network engineering principles to guide project decisions, troubleshoot issues, and provide technical leadership.
  • Client Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships, managing expectations, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Team Management: Oversee and coordinate the efforts of cross-functional project teams, including network engineers, IT specialists, and support staff.
  • Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation. Identify and mitigate risks to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed project documentation, including project plans, status reports, meeting minutes, and change requests.
  • Budget Management: Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and provide regular financial reports to senior management.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all project deliverables meet the highest quality standards and adhere to industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Continuous Improvement: Implement and promote project management best practices and methodologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness of project delivery.
  • Vendor Management: Coordinate with third-party vendors and service providers to ensure seamless integration and support for network projects.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field. PMP or similar project management certification preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in project management within the IT sector, with at least 5 years focused on network engineering projects for a managed service provider.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, VPN, firewalls, routers, switches, and wireless technologies. Familiarity with network security principles and best practices.
  • Project Management: Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget. Proficient in project management tools such as MS Project, JIRA, or similar.
  • Leadership: Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Client-Focused: Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and deliver exceptional customer service.

Location: 

  • Must be based in or willing to relocate to San Antonio, TX.
