Network Engineer - Systems Integrator

Are you a seasoned Network Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in networking? 

Join this system integrator's team as we seek a proficient professional to manage and maintain their network infrastructure. As a Network Engineer, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our network operations.

Contract details: 

• Start date: ASAP
• Duration: 9 months, with possible extension
• Location: Chesterfield, Missouri

Responsibilities:

• Configuring, installing, and maintaining network equipment, including switches, routers, and firewalls.
• Diagnosing and resolving network issues, performing root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
• Monitoring network performance and implementing optimizations to enhance efficiency.
• Collaborating with senior engineers to design and implement network solutions.
• Assisting with network documentation and maintaining accurate records.
• Providing technical support to junior team members and end-users as needed.

Skills/Must have:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Network Engineer or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in networking protocols and technologies, such as TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP).
• Hands-on experience with network hardware and software, including Cisco routers/switches, Juniper firewalls, and packet capture tools.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, with a methodical approach to troubleshooting network issues.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

Salary:

• $50 Per Hour
