Network Core Consultant - Cisco Gold Partner

Our client is a global leading Cisco Gold Partner, and is seeking a Network Core Consultant for an initial 6-month contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and multiple vendors in a dynamic and innovative environment.

Contract details:

• Location: Milton Keynes – 2/3 days a week
• Contract Type: 6 Month Contract (Long term program)
• Start Date: ASAP
• Day Rate: £480 - £530PD
• Determination: Outside IR35

 Key Responsibilities:

• Design and engineer ISP networks with horizontal scaling capabilities.
• Work with multiple vendors, especially Nokia and Juniper.
• Manage and implement MPLS, Ethernet, LDP, IS-IS, CoS & QoS, BGP4.
• Utilize automation tools, particularly Ansible and Python, to enhance network operations.
• Apply NRE principles to maintain and enhance network reliability.
• Configure and manage IPv4 and IPv6 routing, including BGP4, route reflectors, RIPE objects, Peering DB, and BNG.

 Requirements:

• Proven experience with Nokia or Juniper network equipment.
• Strong knowledge of core and backbone network concepts.
• Proficiency in MPLS and BGP protocols.
• Experience with network automation tools such as Ansible/Python.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, JNCIP) are a plus.
