Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain MDM solutions to ensure data consistency, accuracy, and integrity.
- Develop and optimize data models for master data domains (e.g., customer, product, supplier).
- Configure and integrate MDM platforms (Informatica MDM, IBM InfoSphere, SAP MDG, Microsoft MDS, or Talend MDM) with enterprise applications.
- Develop ETL pipelines for data extraction, transformation, and loading using tools such as Informatica PowerCenter, Talend, or Apache Nifi.
- Ensure data governance by implementing data quality rules, validation processes, and metadata management.
- Work with relational and NoSQL databases (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) to store and manage master data.
- Develop APIs and web services (REST, SOAP, JSON, XML) to integrate master data across various business systems.
- Collaborate with business analysts, data stewards, and IT teams to understand data needs and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Monitor and optimize MDM processes for performance, scalability, and security.
- Ensure compliance with data regulations such as GDPR and CCPA.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 3–5+ years of experience in MDM engineering, data management, or data integration.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with RDBMS (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
- Hands-on experience with MDM platforms (Informatica MDM, IBM InfoSphere, SAP MDG, Talend MDM, or Microsoft MDS).
- Experience with ETL tools (Informatica PowerCenter, Talend, SSIS, Apache Nifi) for data pipeline development.
- Knowledge of data governance best practices, including data quality, metadata management, and data lineage.
- Experience working with APIs and web services for system integration.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred:
- Experience with cloud MDM solutions (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Snowflake).
- Familiarity with big data technologies (Apache Spark, Hadoop).
- Understanding of machine learning and AI applications for data quality improvements.
- Certifications in MDM platforms or data governance tools (e.g., Informatica Certified MDM Specialist).
