Linux Engineer - IT Solutions

A forward-thinking IT solutions company is seeking a skilled Linux Engineer to manage and support Linux-based infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have solid experience with Linux OS and servers, along with familiarity with Azure and networking. Basic scripting skills are a plus as the role involves automation and system optimization. Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers across the organization.
• Monitor and ensure the performance, security, and availability of Linux-based systems.
• Manage Linux OS updates, patches, and system configurations.
• Collaborate with cloud teams to deploy and manage Linux environments in Azure.
• Assist with troubleshooting server and system issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Support automation and scripting tasks for system optimization (basic scripting skills desired).
• Implement and maintain network configurations and troubleshoot network-related issues.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of Linux systems within the broader IT infrastructure.

Skills/Must have:

• Strong experience with Linux OS (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS, RedHat) and Linux server administration.
• Familiarity with Azure cloud services and managing Linux workloads in Azure.
• Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
• Scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python, or similar) are a plus.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve Linux server and networking issues.
• Solid understanding of system security practices and maintaining secure Linux environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
