Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership & Management
  • Lead and support a team of five lighting designers.
  • Advocate for lighting needs at a corporate level, securing necessary resources and systems.
  • Ensure a healthy, collaborative team environment while maintaining structure and efficiency.
  • Provide clear and constructive feedback to both the team and leadership.
  • Project Oversight & Execution
  • Oversee lighting design for large-scale, immersive exhibits and permanent installations.
  • Work closely with other creative and technical teams to ensure lighting integrates seamlessly into overall designs.
  • Manage schedules, budgets, and logistics related to lighting implementation.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time and to the highest artistic and technical standards.
  • Travel & On-Site Work
  • Travel as needed to installation sites, including extended stays (up to three months) in cities where projects are being executed.
  • Initial focus on Los Angeles and New York, though management roles have greater flexibility in travel.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Proven experience in large-scale lighting design for permanent exhibits, immersive experiences, or themed entertainment.
  • Strong managerial experience—this role requires hands-on leadership with experience overseeing a team.
  • Ability to balance creative vision with logistical execution in complex, multi-faceted projects.
  • Excellent communication and diplomacy skills—able to foster an inclusive and positive team environment while maintaining structure and efficiency.
  • Experience working with themed construction projects and coordinating with multiple departments.

Preferred Experience

  • Backgrounds in hotels, art exhibits, nightclubs, or immersive entertainment.
