Junior Fiber Design Engineer - Telecommunications

A fast-growing telecommunications company, committed to expanding Belgium’s fibre optic infrastructure, is seeking a Junior Fiber Design Engineer to join its team in Brussels on a permanent basis.

In this role, the engineer will work alongside an experienced team, gaining hands-on experience in designing FTTH infrastructures using QGIS & AutoCAD. This is an excellent opportunity to develop technical skills and contribute to the deployment of next-generation fibre networks.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain comprehensive records of network designs, including diagrams, layouts, and equipment specifications.
• Review site survey data collected by site survey specialists to understand site conditions, potential challenges, and opportunities.
• Stay up to date with the latest FTTH technologies, industry trends, and best practices to enhance the quality of network designs.
• Analyze customer needs and assess the feasibility of FTTH network deployments in specific areas.

Skills/Must have:

• Knowledge of CAD software: AutoCAD
• Fluency in English
• Knowledge of GIS tools : QGIS, arcGIS
• Interested in Fiber Telecoms and Fiber Networks
