IT Support Engineer - Retail

One of the largest global technology companies are seeking a talented IT Support Engineer for an initial 6-month contract to help implement and maintain a cutting-edge retail IT infrastructure.

Contract Details: 

• Day Rate: £Negotiable
• Location: Worcester
• IR35 Determination: Inside IR35
• Duration: 6 months

Responsibilities:

• Implement a standardized retail IT infrastructure in Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean, aligned with business strategy and requirements.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of IT solutions supporting fuels and convenience retail operations.
• Adhere to and uphold operational standards and policies.
• Provide installation, setup, and training related to Retail IT infrastructure.
• Deliver both onsite and remote support for Retail IT systems, including cloud-based and Legacy POS systems, Back Office solutions, fuel controllers, fleet and loyalty programs, and cloud-based Back Office platforms.
•  Perform preventive maintenance on technologies associated with the Retail IT infrastructure.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
• Strong analytical, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are essential.
• Proven ability to meet and deliver on targets.
• Knowledge of retail Point of Sale (POS) solutions, with five years of experience supporting a retail environment, is an advantage.
• Solid networking background with the ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic environment.
•  Experience with POS systems in a service station environment is preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
• Project management experience and/or certifications are beneficial.
• Own transportation is required.
• Must be willing to travel.
