Join a team of 16 engineers on their critical systems team, where you will be the go-to expert for automation and networking. You will be responsible for building and automating their Cisco-based core network, as well as automating network infrastructure and monitoring systems to enhance efficiency and reliability.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and maintain Cisco MPLS networks using Cisco ASR 9000 and ASR 1000 series routers, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance for service provider or enterprise environments.
  • Configure and optimise MPLS technologies, including LDP, RSVP-TE, MPLS VPNs (L3VPN/L2VPN), Traffic Engineering (TE), and QoS, to ensure efficient traffic flow and robust network segmentation.
  • Implement and manage BGP, OSPF, and ISIS routing protocols to support complex, dynamic, and multi-homed environments within the MPLS core.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues across MPLS infrastructure, performing deep packet analysis, route debugging, and performance tuning.
  • Collaborate with network architects and cross-functional teams to design and integrate network solutions that align with business and operational goals.
  • Optional: Design, configure, and maintain Cisco SD-WAN solutions to optimize connectivity, application performance, and cost-efficiency across hybrid or multi-cloud environments.
  • Develop and maintain detailed network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and runbooks, ensuring clear handover and ongoing support.
  • Ensure network security and policy enforcement by implementing secure MPLS transport methods and segmenting traffic appropriately.

Skills/Must have:

  • IP/MPLS networking experience 
  • Ansible automation experience
  • Cisco R&S experience (ASR9K, ASR1K series)
  • German Speaking (C1 minimum)
  • Willingness to undergo security clearance 
  • Minimum Bachelors Degree
