IBM Power Systems Engineer - Systems Integrator

Responsibilities: 

• Deliver technical services to customers both onsite and remotely.
• Offer technical support for in-house managed service provider (MSP) clients.

This includes, but is not limited to:

• Administrative tasks, including migrations and upgrades for both operating systems and hardware.
• New installations and implementations of operating systems and hardware.
• Support for backup, recovery, high availability, and disaster recovery.
• Ad-hoc support for customers.

Secondary role(s) include: 

• Assist with pre-sales solutions and architecture design.
• Develop statements of work for projects.
• Facilitate informal skills transfer to customers and colleagues.

Required Skills: 

• Over 10 years of experience with IBM Power Systems (P8 and later).
• Extensive expertise in AIX.
• Proficient in HMC and VIOS.
• More than 5 years of experience in storage and SAN technologies.
• Familiarity with IBM, Hitachi, EMC, Pure, and NetApp.

Preferred Skills: 

• Experience with PowerVC, PowerSC, PowerHA, and VMR.
• Proficient in NIM, LVM, and TCP/IP.
• Knowledge of Linux (RHEL & SUSE) and OpenShift.
• Familiarity with SAP HANA.
• Experience with automation tools such as Ansible.
• Proficient in PowerVS, AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Experience with IBM i.
