GoLang Engineer - Consultancy

Join a global IT services  team seeking an experienced Golang Engineer for a 6-month contract to design and develop Golang-based microservices and APIs that drive next-generation financial services solutions. As part of an agile development team, this role involves implementing best engineering practices, ensuring high-quality software delivery, and contributing to DevOps excellence. Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Golang microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Collaborate within an agile team environment to deliver high-impact features.
• Lead and enforce best practices in branching strategies, coding standards, BDD/TDD, CI/CD, and DevOps.
• Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from planning and design to testing, release, and troubleshooting.

Skills/Must have:

• Strong expertise in Golang development.
• Proven experience in building and maintaining microservices & RESTful APIs.
• Solid experience in Back End systems development.
• Hands-on experience working in Agile (Scrum/Kanban) environments.
• Experience with Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools like JIRA.
• Good understanding of DevOps principles and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases.
