We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer/Engineer with a strong focus on React to join our client team for a 6-month contract based in Glasgow, the client is a leading multinational finance company. This role requires a blend of onsite presence (3 days a week) and remote work.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with React, MNicroservices and Java for a minimum of 6 years, 


Responsibilities:

  • Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Develop, debug, and maintain applications using technologies and frameworks such as Java, J2EE, Microservices, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Angular, JavaScript, Rest API, and React.
  • Ensure the scalability, performance, and reliability of applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features and improvements.
  • Conduct code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure the highest quality standards.
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
  • Lead communities of practice across Software Engineering to promote awareness and adoption of new and leading-edge technologies.

Skills/Must have:

  • Proficiency in React and related technologies.
  • Strong experience with Java, J2EE, and Microservices.
  • Expertise in Spring Boot and Spring Cloud.
  • Familiarity with front-end frameworks like Angular and JavaScript.
  • Proficiency in developing REST APIs.
  • Exposure to database servers such as Oracle and NoSQL databases like Cassandra.
  • Knowledge of database ORM frameworks such as Hibernate and JPA.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS, for running microservices.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience across the whole software development life cycle.
