We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fortinet Engineer with a strong background in the Fortinet technology stack and Operational Technology (OT) environments.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting Fortinet security solutions, particularly in environments that require the integration of IT and OT systems. This role demands expertise in network security, strong problem-solving skills, and a solid understanding of the challenges associated with securing industrial control systems (ICS) and other OT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and maintain Fortinet security solutions, including but not limited to FortiGate firewalls, FortiAnalyzer, FortiManager, FortiSIEM, FortiWeb, and FortiSwitch.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for Fortinet technologies across both IT and OT environments.
- Ensure the security of Industrial Control Systems (ICS), SCADA systems, and other OT networks by implementing Fortinet-based solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including OT engineers and cybersecurity experts, to align security initiatives with the unique demands of OT systems.
- Conduct risk assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and develop strategies for mitigating cyber threats in OT environments.
- Implement and manage network segmentation and access controls to ensure the isolation and protection of critical OT infrastructure.
- Stay current with Fortinet product updates, security trends, and emerging threats in both IT and OT landscapes.
- Develop and document best practices and standard operating procedures for Fortinet security deployments within OT settings.
- Provide technical support and training to internal teams on Fortinet security products and OT network security principles.
- Assist with incident response efforts related to cybersecurity events impacting OT infrastructure.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Fortinet security technologies, including configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting.
- Proven experience working with FortiGate firewalls, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, and other Fortinet products.
- Experience in OT/ICS environments with knowledge of OT protocols, SCADA systems, and industrial network security requirements.
- Strong understanding of network security principles, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and secure access policies.
- Familiarity with OT environments and the associated cybersecurity challenges, such as real-time communication requirements, legacy system integration, and the need for minimal downtime.
- Experience with network segmentation and zero trust architectures in OT environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Fortinet NSE certification (NSE 4 or higher).
- Experience with network monitoring and security event management tools such as FortiSIEM and FortiAnalyzer.
- Familiarity with NERC CIP, ISA/IEC 62443, and other OT cybersecurity standards and frameworks.
- Experience with cloud-based and hybrid environments integrating Fortinet technologies.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work in fast-paced environments with minimal supervision.
