This UK-based communications provider, with over 50 years of experience, specializes in designing and maintaining voice, video, and data networks is currently on a hunt for a Field Survey Engineer to support wireless network surveys across the UK.

The position involves conducting site surveys, measuring signal strength, and ensuring data accuracy. You’ll walk 5-6 hours daily and survey 3-4 sites per day, working within a specific patch that limits hotel stays.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform on-site Wi-Fi and wireless signal surveys using company-provided tools.
  • Measure and analyze signal strengths, RSSI, and other coverage metrics.
  • Record and upload survey data to the cloud for analysis.
  • Work independently within your assigned region, ensuring timely and accurate surveys.
  • Collaborate with team members for quality assurance and follow-ups.

Skills/Must have:

  • Basic understanding of RF, Wi-Fi, or 5G theory.
  • Willingness to walk for extended periods (5-6 hours daily).
  • Valid UK driving license.

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with tools like Ekahau, Airmapper, or Netally.
  • Previous experience in surveying or similar fieldwork.
