The Pennsylvania-based organization is looking for a Field Superintendent (Splicing) to play a key role in the construction and maintenance of aerial and underground telecommunications infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform manual labor tasks for telecommunications construction projects.
  • Support fellow construction technicians to optimize workflow and project efficiency.
  • Complete essential paperwork such as Daily Progress Reports, Safety Tailboards, and timecard entries.
  • Provide documentation including accurate as-built prints and associated photographs for project closeout packages.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of vehicles, job sites, and equipment inventory.
  • Operate various vehicles and equipment including bucket trucks, trenchers, and digger derricks.
  • Execute tasks such as tree trimming, brush clearing, and excavation as required for project needs.
  • Read and interpret work prints accurately to carry out placement of cables, conduits, and other facilities.
  • Ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
  • Act as a crew leader in the absence of a project manager, overseeing crews.
  • Serve as a mentor to less experienced employees.
  • Maintain professional interactions with clients and the public.


Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • Valid CDL-A license required, with the ability to maintain a CDL medical card.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Prior experience in construction (3-5 years preferred).
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude.
  • General knowledge of construction principles and practices.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Willingness to travel and stay overnight as needed.
  • Adaptability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments.
