DWDM Engineer - Systems Integrator

Responsibilities:

• Manage DWDM equipment configuration, deployment, upgrades, and performance optimization.
• Oversee troubleshooting and maintenance to minimize downtime and service disruptions.
• Operate and develop high-load DWDM and fiber-optic backbone networks.
• Test new DWDM solutions and automate commissioning processes.
• Collaborate on complex integration projects with internal teams, vendors, and data center operations.

Skills/Must have:

• Extensive experience with DWDM technologies, platforms (ADVA, Ciena, Infinera), and optical backbone systems.
• Strong proficiency in DWDM network management, monitoring, and optimization tools.
• Skilled in Python or similar languages for task automation and network design documentation.
• Experience with IP/MPLS equipment and optical testing/measurement tools.
• Experience with Linux environments
• Ability to plan and execute network modernization projects and travel across Europe as needed.
