Data Security Architect - Consultancy

A Data Security Architect is needed to support a leading bank on an initial 6-month contract, with the potential for extension. In this role, you will lead key security deliverables, collaborate with technical teams, and ensure security requirements are embedded into platform designs and engineering. This hybrid role requires 1-2 days onsite per week at one of the client’s multiple UK offices.

Responsibilities:

• Own Data Security Designs (HLD/LLD) and CSO deliverables.
• Collaborate on security strategies and integration with existing tech.
• Define security requirements and work with teams to ensure standards are met.
• Perform threat modelling and proactively identify security risks.
• Own end-to-end security for platform components and services.
• Align security activities with wider strategy and deliver value within a multi-disciplined team.
• Provide security analysis, assurance, and compliance expertise.

Skills/Must have:

• Expertise in GCP/Azure Data Security and DLP tools (eg, Symantec, HashiCorp Vault).
• Knowledge of cryptography, PKI, HSM, Cloud KMS, and Cloud Certificate Management.
• Certifications such as Azure Security Engineer, Google Certified Security Engineer, or CCSP.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, and cloud-native security tools.
• Agile framework experience and familiarity with Scripting languages.
