A leading technology and engineering consultancy based in the UK, specializing in product development and digital transformation across sectors such as healthcare, automotive, and consumer products is seeking a talented Data & AI Engineer to join their team. 

In this role, you will design and implement data pipelines while also assisting in the development and promotion of MLOps best practices. You will work primarily with cloud infrastructure on AWS, with opportunities to engage with Azure and GCP based on client needs. The position offers the chance to mentor junior team members and participate in client discussions, defining project requirements and effectively communicating the benefits of an AI-driven approach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Pipeline Design & Implementation: Design efficient, scalable data pipelines to specific workload requirements and performance optimization.
  • MLOps Development: Drive the development of MLOps best practices, including experiment tracking, data validation, and efficient resource utilization.
  • Client Engagement: Engage with clients to understand their project needs, provide technical insights, and explain the commercial benefits of the proposed solutions.
  • Technical Project Input: Collaborate with Project Managers to provide technical input for project proposals, plan, and estimate tasks for successful project execution.
  • Code Quality & Review: Participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality software development, providing feedback to peers and guiding improvements.
  • Mentorship: Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing task assignments and conducting task reviews to help them grow within the team.
  • Cloud Infrastructure Support: Maintain and develop cloud infrastructure, with a focus on AWS, while supporting other platforms such as Azure and GCP based on project requirements.

Must-Have Skills:

  • Strong experience with AWS and/or Azure AI services
  • Expertise in building and maintaining data pipelines

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools
