Responsibilities:

  • Ensure DCIM systems function efficiently, capturing power usage, calculating capacity, and providing meaningful alarms and reports.
  • Configure DCIM applications to support new data center deployments, retrofits, and data requirements.
  • Maintain documentation, test plans, and change management records for DCIM systems.
  • Implement policies to maximize system, application, and network performance.
  • Administer power provisioning, incident management, and reporting for multiple sites.
  • Coordinate fieldwork and supervise contractors when necessary.
  • Support daily operations with analytical and troubleshooting expertise.
  • Perform inspections, testing, and commissioning of facility systems as needed.
  • Lead maintenance and modification of equipment controls for improved efficiency.
  • Participate in on-call duties and provide off-hour emergency support when required.

Skills/Must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of experience with critical monitoring and control systems in critical facilities.
  • Hands-on experience with BMS and EPMS systems.
  • Knowledge of power distribution systems and facility operations in data centers or similar environments.
  • Familiarity with central chilled water plant systems, CRAH units, and control systems.
  • Ability to interpret engineering documents such as control drawings, sequence of operations, and functional specifications.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Aveva WonderWare certification.
  • Experience with BAS/BMS systems (e.g., Johnson Controls).
  • Knowledge of network implementation and virtualized environments.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow and SQL database systems.
  • Hands-on experience with industrial control PLCs (e.g., Allen Bradley, Schneider Modicom, Siemens S7).
  • Understanding of commissioning and testing protocols in data centers.
  • Proficiency in communication protocols like BAC-net, Modbus IP, and TCP/IP.
